Beauty Really is Everywhere-She Splendid With Kimberly Conrad

Don't you just love waking up to a new day aware that the possibilities are endless?

I took my walk yesterday about 7:00 p.m. after the baby left. We had been glued to the T.V. for hours following our local school shooting. I always know what's going on in the world, but as an empath, I learned long ago, I cannot inundate myself over and over with the details of tragic events, but this was so close to home, and Hubby was watching it, so I did too.

Not long into my walk, it began to rain. I started to turn back, but just kept walking, as my tears and the raindrops ran together down my face. Near then end of my walk, the gloomy gray sky lightened up, and I looked up at it through this tree that has just bloomed. It was SO beautiful. These trees are all over my neighborhood, and one hangs over the fence into my backyard. I see them all of the time, but have stopped really noticing them, because they are always there.

It reminded me, that though there will be heartbreak and tragedy in this life (that is for certain) we cannot let it blind us to all of the beauty in our lives. Beauty and love are everywhere, but sometimes it takes a conscious discipline to choose to see them, especially when our hearts are breaking.
