Interestingly, in all of the business courses I have taken, high achievement is ALWAYS associated with high expectations.
However, there are also many who say, that Happiness is achieved by lowering your expectations....hmmm
I think the way I reconcile this contrast in my own mind, is that my expectations for myself
need to remain high ( i personally function much better this way)
And my expectations of others should remain low. (that way I am not disappointed)
Truthfully, I think we always get in trouble when we are placing our expectations on others....
When our happiness or feelings of well being are based on someone else's actions or behavior.
I have BIG GOALS for this week, and am feeling quite capable...Like I am ON MY GAME!!
Mondays are so great that way....and then by Wednesday I often feel painfully behind!!
I am wondering if anyone else has this awareness?
I think my lists are always much too long.
To hold myself somewhat accountable....here are a just few of the things on my list for this week aside from what falls into my everyday work schedule (some are work related, others not!!) I will keep you posted!
*Pay Bills (Done*)
*Clean out- reorganize laundry room
*Shampoo upstairs carpet
*Re-record/edit first She Splendid podcast
*Work on outline for book proposal
*Get flowers planted in the front yard and porch
* Get Christmas wreath down from front door :):):):) I just have to laugh!
